The GESS Fleet Solutions grew from being mostly a web based fleet management solution, encompassing key aspects of fleet management, to a fully fledged (still web based) fleet planning, management and information / reporting solution, catering for real world and full life cycle management, including all aspects of financial management of any fleet type asset, in any environment, whether governmental, parastatal or private of nature and in real time, anytime.

With regards to our quality of work and proof of us understanding government fleet business for instance; the development done by GESS on the g-FleeT FIS have been audited by GSSC and the Auditor General year on year over the past 6 years and it passed every time with minor update requests rather than changes pointed out, due to financial management and  policy changes within government itself.

Apart from the web based system offering, we have been actively involved in knowledge sharing and best practice application of g-FleeT’s tariffs as well as income versus expenditure management, bringing about an additional cost benefit of R25million per financial year for them. This was achieved through implementation of best fleet practices and use of the newer developed and built in system benefits now allowing them to measure any single vehicle or their entire fleet’s projected versus actual performance as well as income versus expenditure at any point in time.
