Bentley New Mining Survey Tools on the way Minimize

This is a sneak preview of one of the new tools that will be available in the Select Series 2 release of the InRoads Site Suite Product. New Add Mining Observations (Survey Offset) input tool, specially designed for use in manual underground Offset input and calculation from hand written field books. Coal, Platinum, Gold or any other mine surveyors, will find this tool very efficient.

Point names are automatically incremented. If the user chooses to add the Code then the pillars or blast lines can automatically be created from your survey, allowing the facility to calculate areas, and therefore volumes, from these features.

No minus signs required for left offset. Occupied and Foresight Points can be typed in by name or picked using the target button. If using the target button you can pick from the active field book or a point in the MicroStation DGN file (CAD Graphics). All observations (Offsets) are added to the current electronic field book and can be edited (with the full field book audit trail)

HDS Scanning Underground Minimize

GESS have been working with Leica in South Africa to test what can be done with laser point in optermising and using the information collected effectively in design, construction, planning and mantenaince.

Utilising Bentley technology as a platform GESS has generated workflows in order to reduce the cloudpoints by up to 90% without loss of accurcy and mantain effective productivity in the deisgn office.

Underground dtm's are problematic and GESS has found solution to managing all the information supplied in the cloud as well as converting this information into design points in the traditional 3d cad models for cross section, clash detction, plant modelling and volumetric calculations.

GESS  also has solution for clients running on the AutoCAD platform.
