The survey, design and construction of Tunnels requires spealised skills and solutions. GESS has investigated various options in order to optermise the survey and design of Road, Rail and Mining operations in tunnels.

We have used HDS scanning underground in order to capture a 3d dimension modelling of the rock and then using various tools and skill sets to optermise the 3d survey model for design.

Normal Dtm tools utilised for above ground survey and design do not work since  spot shots have numerous points in the same vertical plane.

GESS can assit clients with tunnel survey, modelling, design, software solutions as well as visulisation (fly throughs). GESS can aslo animate access (clash detection) and transfer skills to clients whom want to optermise all the HDS scanner points.
